Like a diamond formed under intense pressure
When the world is against you and everything seems to be going wrong, it can be hard to keep your head up. But no matter how dire the situation may seem, remember that you always have the power to turn it around. Just like a diamond is formed under intense pressure, so too can you find strength in adversity. Here are four tips to help you turn tragedy into triumph:
1. Acknowledge your feelings
It’s okay to feel sad, angry, or scared when bad things happen. Trying to bottle up your emotions will only make them harder to deal with later on. So allow yourself to grieve and process what’s happened. Only then can you start moving on.
2. Seek support from loved ones
Lean on your friends and family for help during tough times. They can provide a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen, which can make all the difference.
3. Stay positive
It might seem impossible to see the silver lining when things are at their worst, but it’s important to try. Maintaining a positive outlook will help you stay strong and focused on what’s important.
4. Help others
One of the best ways to get through tough times is to help someone else who is going through something similar. When you give back, you not only make a difference in someone else’s life, but you also boost your own mood and self-esteem.

If you are struggling to cope with the aftermath of interpersonal trauma, our Transitional Home can help. We offer a way help you heal and move on with your life with our Recovery House programs.
We provide individual, group, and family counseling. We also offer crisis intervention, case management, Halfway House and referrals to community resources. Our goal is to help you regain a sense of control and peace in your life.
Peace Under Pressure Implements a wrap-around system that is based on health, wellness, self-discovery, and action planning. We are here to help women & men experience greater levels of wellness, by targeting all aspects of health and wellness through discovery.
